Humbled
I have always been the kid that loved to talk. I can be painfully shy in small groups, but give me a microphone and I don’t care how many thousands of people are in front of me, I’m gonna talk. Somewhere along the way, I also started writing. After all sorts of life experiences, my mom encouraged me to write– a book, a blog, anything. So about a year and a half ago, I started writing consistently. Mostly for my own enjoyment, and because I knew I would at least have one reader– my dear mom.
Today, as I look at how far God has taken my writings, I am entirely stunned, humbled, and honored. So many people have commented, messaged, liked, shared… letting me know how different writings have affected them or encouraged them. As of tonight 5,000 people have read in over 30 countries. That is mind-boggling to me. To know that someone I may never know is sitting across the world reading something that I wrote? Wow. Just WOW.
I feel entirely blessed that God has placed so many ideas on my heart, allowing me the opportunity to write and to share. It is exciting and encouraging and humbling and amazing to me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The fact that so many of you take time out of your busy lives to read my writing brings me near to tears. I want you to know that I am so grateful. Also, I would like you to know that I would love to hear from you and hear your story.
If you are reading just down the road or you are reading half a world away, thank you for sharing my journey…
